10 Wrestlers You Can't Believe WWE Haven't Signed (Yet)

5. Jay Lethal

New rule: when somebody can do a Ric Flair impression so good it legitimately pops the 'Nature Boy', they should be signed to a top-dollar contract immediately. If that were the case in reality as opposed to this writer's head, then Jay Lethal would have already inked a WWE deal long before now and become a stalwart in the promotion.

Thankfully, he doesn't need them.

ROH has been a haven for Lethal's creativity, dedication to the art of psychology in-ring and has provided him with a post-TNA sanctuary he can call home. That loyalty may decree that Jay never gets that elusive WWE stint his fans have always wondered about. If he retires before at least trying it, then everyone loses.

WWE arguably should've signed Lethal 10 years ago. Failing that, they could've leapt on board the hype train a little later when he departed Impact in 2011 and was already being talked about as one of the most stupidly under-utilised wrestlers in the world.
