10 Wrestlers You Didn't Know Were In NXT AND AEW

9. Bret Hart

It's not just a catchphrase: Bret Hart is unequivocally the best. Therefore, there was no-one better to present AEW's spangly new championship at their inaugural pay-per-view, Double or Nothing, last May (just weeks after The Hitman had been inducted into WWE's Hall of Fame for a second time, no doubt much to Vince and co.'s ire).

It was for the same reason of his subliminity that Hart was invited to appear at the debut NXT TakeOver, albeit in the somewhat reduced capacity of Natalya's chaperone. Bret's niece was set to take on star-in-waiting Charlotte Flair for the vacant NXT Women's Championship, and the 'Excellence of Execution' was placed in her corner to the even the odds against Flair's wily father Ric. It didn't work: Charlotte won.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
