10 Wrestlers You Never Thought Would Get Over On TV

6. The Young Bucks

New rule: you're not allowed to use the term "spot-fest" unless you can adequately explain the story of every match that you feel doesn't warrant the designation.

Look forward to reading your analysis.

The Young Bucks fuse the pulsating spot-fest with an unparalleled level of storytelling substance. They use the actual medium of professional wrestling to tell professional wrestling stories, deftly weaving beats between and within the jaw-dropping moves - those little moments of recognition, for example, in every intoxicating interaction with FTR.

Many went through a phase in which they didn't get the Young Bucks, your writer included. They were excessively flashy, they were obnoxious, they spammed moves you understood to hurt more on a different wavelength.

Just get on their wavelength instead.

It's better.

The Bucks transitioned to TV, particularly in 2020, with the ease one might have expected, given that their free banter side-project Being The Elite has a better grasp of episodic storytelling than WWE RAW, the biggest wrestling show on the planet.

"One," and not "a sad troll bastard".

What's thrilling, given how incredible it is to watch the Bucks thread the narrative of the Elite saga each week, is that they've barely explored what they can do in the medium. Nick Jackson is a deadpan delight, and is yet to crack a single joke on Dynamite.

He's also just turned 31. He's not in his wrestler's prime yet.
