10 Wrestlers You Totally Forgot Worked For AEW

6. Colin Delaney

Colin Delaney played the Barry Horowitz role in WWECW, and in doing so, added a shred of emotion to a synthetic product that basically evolved into the developmental vision of John Laurinaitis onscreen - and all that entails.

"All that entails" basically means "a procession of bland programmed robots working the same style reciting absolute nothing dreck".

Delaney's run remains memorable however because he was an endearing, spirited jobber who had the personality to get a tried-and-tested device over. He lost a series of matches before triumphing over his tormentor. It was good. For WWECW. When the shine wore off, he was released, after which he became a respected journeyman earning steady work.

He was rewarded by AEW, in which he was entrusted to do jobs to both Eddie Kingston and Wardlow. He also tagged with Shawn Spears in early 2020 as part of the abandoned 'Search For' gimmick. He was a low-key joy in the role; ducking over to attempt a tandem back body drop, Spears had actually geared up to punch Chuck Taylor. As Spears screamed "What are you doing?!", Taylor kicked the hapless Delaney in a fun comedy spot.

AEW had little use elsewhere for Delaney's brand of sympathy, but his fleeting appearances weren't half-bad.
