10 Wrestlers You Will Never See In WWE Hall Of Fame
1. Owen Hart
Let's make 2020 the year we stop campaigning for Owen Hart's WWE Hall of Fame induction.
Doing so goes against the direct wishes of Owen's widow, Martha, and children, Oje and Athena, who don't want their late loved one's name glorified by a promotion that negligently strapped Owen to an unfit-for-purpose clip designed to release with six pounds of pressure, then had him descend from the rafters, causing his death. They'd rather not be associated with a company that didn't even bother to stop the show, tried to villainise Martha when she sought justice, and still set Jerry McDevitt, their legal attack dog, after her to date.
Why would they want the same organisation glorifying his name? No wrestling argument can counter this. Not one.
Those seeking to honour his legacy should donate to the Owen Hart Foundation, which rehomes struggling members of society and works towards college and school scholarships for children in need. Alternatively, buy one of the new shirts on Pro Wrestling Tees, the profits of which go to the Foundation anyway.
Martha allowed Owen's induction into the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2018 and has indicated a willingness to work with other groups as well. She doesn't hate wrestling, but the organisation that took her husband from her, and this must be respected above all else.
