1. Mark Jindrak - Evolution
Mark Jindrak had an unspectacular run with WWE during the early 2000s. His contract was acquired when Vince McMahon purchased WCW in 2001, and he spent his first few years drifting between developmental and C-shows like Heat and Velocity. He enjoyed a more substantial role in his later years, but was never able to escape lower-midcard purgatory, and was released from his contract in July 2005.
Things could have been entirely different had WWE followed through on their initial plans for Evolution, however. As revealed in Triple H's 2013 'Thy Kingdom Come' DVD, Jindrak was originally supposed to be the group's burly enforcer, with the company even going as far as shooting a series of vignettes with him, Ric Flair, Randy Orton, and 'The Game.'
Unfortunately for Jindrak, WWE changed their minds before Evolution made it to television, and Batista took his spot. The reasons for this change have never been disclosed, but 'The Animal' went on to become one of his era's biggest stars while Mark floundered.
There's no guarantee that Jindrak could have become as big a star as Batista had he not been replaced, but there's little doubt he would've enjoyed a longer, more successful WWE career by Hunter's side.
