As revealed on a recent episode of Bruce Prichard's 'Something To Wrestle' podcast, Vince Russo once suggested the 6'6", 285lb Test join the Attitude Era's most iconic stable: D-Generation X.

The oft-maligned writer compared Test to Kevin Nash, who'd left the company a few years prior, stating that he was a similar size to the former Diesel, but was younger and had the potential to be better than him in the ring. Triple H and Shawn Michaels hated the idea, and supported their fellow Kliq member, stating that Test was "no Kevin Nash."

Prichard, who was working in talent relations at the time, thought that Test would be better served in developmental. He had potential, but he was too unseasoned for such a significant role, and needed some time to sharpen his skills.

The big man eventually arrived on television as a former Motley Crue bodyguard turned Corporation member, and spent much of his formative years feuding with DX and Triple H directly, culminating in the angle that saw Test get engaged to Stephanie McMahon, only for 'The Game' to marry a drugged 'Billion Dollar Princess' at a drive-through wedding ceremony.
