10 Wrestlers You Won't Believe Beat John Cena

Scott Steiner and John Cena. One of the most important and history-making wrestlers of all time... and John Cena. Surely these two have never had a match. Right?

Well, if you were in attendance at the 14 December 2002 SmackDown house show in Jacksonville, Florida, then you would have seen the first and only battle between these two heavyweights.

Steiner had re-debuted for WWE just one month earlier and was on a collision course with Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship. WWE wanted to give Big Poppa Pump some momentum ahead of his big match with The Game, and so Cena was fed to him on this night.

Whilst it's unclear how competitive this match was, it's hard to imagine a rookie Cena was allowed to get in too much offence against the number one contender for Raw's top prize. So, it's possible that this was a bit of a squash match.

The only other time these two wrestling icons were in the same match together was the 2004 Royal Rumble, but they never actually shared the ring during the bout.

No need for any Steiner maths here - this encounter is a one of a kind.
