10 Wrestlers You Won't Believe Got The Better Of Vince McMahon

2. Tay Conti

Godzilla has done less damage to buildings than what Tay Conti has done to the WWE Performance Center.

As Taynari Conti, she never really developed. She worked a WWE style bereft of fire and personality; even in a very encouraging AEW run, she still leans hard on the Undertaker WrestleMania 25 Kickout Face, which presumably is taught as a specialist class. However, she has elsewhere grown - at an astonishing rate - into a unique performer.

She worked just three matches throughout the early phase of the Wednesday Night War before requesting her release from WWE. It was denied. One such match (Vs. Santana Garrett, Nov. 6) was worked in slow motion, drawing derision on social media, and yet it marked the first time NXT ever defeated AEW Dynamite in a head-to-head quarter in the 18-49 demo. She eventually was fired as part of the 'Black Wednesday' round of cuts in April 2020.

She resurfaced in AEW as a completely different performer. Her legit, multi-discipline background was just begging to be adapted in the squared circle. The AEW coaching staff did precisely that: Conti is now an explosive striker ablaze with fire who judo-throws her opponents in awesome shine spots. If she progresses at this rate, she will become one of the best women's workers in the U.S.

Given Vince's predilection for blondes, it's all quite astonishing.
