10 Wrestling Alliances You Completely Forgot Happened

9. Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan

Seth Rollins has only been a main roster player for about seven years, and he’s crammed an awful lot in. From Shield member to Authority shill, several World title wins, a stint as the company’s top face and his most recent incarnation as the Monday Night Messiah, the Architect isn’t shy about changing things up.

With all that character development, it’s not too surprising that his recent tag team with Jason Jordan goes somewhat unremembered. The former American Alpha member had a tough time on his graduation from NXT, being split from Chad Gable and thrown into a bizarre storyline in which he was Kurt Angle’s son.

Being paired with a wrestler of Rollins’ calibre seemed like great news for the up and comer, and even if he was a replacement for the injured Dean Ambrose, the two had success, nabbing Raw’s tag belts in short order.

This presumably wasn’t to be a long-term partnership, but injury put paid to the story - and Jordan’s career - quicker than the bookers could. Neck problems mean that Jordan may not wrestle again - if that’s the case, this particular angle would be a lukewarm end to a promising career.
