10 Wrestling April Fools That Would Really Suck

2. WWE's Sting Revealed To Be Fake

Way back in WCW, company top brass seemed to really enjoy booking several other wrestlers to go under the face paint as Sting. It was rarely convincing, just as it was pretty hokey when WWE decided to do it right before the Fast Lane Pay-Per-View. Reportedly, it was Heath Slater under the make up, and although brief, the angle felt a little flat without the real Sting there. Obviously, the man playing Sting in WWE is the real Steve Borden, but wouldn't it be something if it was revealed to be a stunt double, and the company hadn't actually been able to agree terms with Borden last year? It's a hilarious thought to picture WWE scrambling to find someone who could fill the man's shoes. Thankfully, this isn't the kind of thing that would realistically happen, but it'd make for a pretty funny April Fools Day story if WWE leaked news on their website that 'Sting' wasn't all he appeared to be, and was in fact being played by an imposter.
