10 Wrestling Attires You Totally Forgot Famous WWE Stars Wore

6. 'King' Sheamus

Trawl any internet forum related to the world of wrestling, and it's not uncommon to see fans bemoaning the treatment of Wade Barrett. Since becoming the King Of The Ring, the Englishman has been on a downward slide, but he's not the only one who can point at the 'King' gimmick as a death knell in getting over with the fans. Winning the 2010 version of the tournament, Sheamus decided to started acknowledging the Celtic kings of his homeland in Ireland, wearing an absolutely ridiculous crown and robe combination which made him come across as a colossal dork, rather than a killer heel. Apparently, the outfit was designed to be ludicrous, as WWE wanted to see if the man could overcome it and show personality, which is a real backwards way of thinking. Sheamus had been doing fine on his own as a hard-nosed heel who stood out because of his pale complexion, tall ginger hair and hard-hitting matches. He certainly didn't need an outfit that made him resemble a nativity play reject, but that's what he got. Instead of launching him into another WrestleMania match with Triple H, 'King' Sheamus became a glorified jobber.
