10 Wrestling Books That Proved Seriously Controversial

9. The Rock - The Rock Says...

Mick Foley Flair Book
WWE Books

As previously stated, the success of Mick Foley's first written effort led to a public clamouring for more memoirs from active wrestlers. So, who better to detail the events of their life than the silver-tongued most electrifying man in sports entertainment?

Unfortunately, the formula that Foley had struck gold on was not as simply repeatable as WWE believed. Despite being one of the biggest stars in the history of professional wrestling, The Rock's first attempt at an autobiography certainly did not strike the same chord as his former tag team partner's, perhaps because at this time, his career in the wrestling business had not been nearly as varied and tumultuous as Foley's.

The book veers in an out of kayfabe in a pretty confusing ride, with the second half reading like the ghostwriter stepping aside allowing The Rock to cut an in-character sub-par promo for 100 or so pages
