10 Wrestling Bouts From Other Promotions That Need Rematches In WWE

3. John Cena Vs. Samoa Joe

Believe it or not, the biggest wrestling superstar since The Rock and one of the most accomplished independent stars of the modern era go back - way back. Samoa Joe and John Cena both broke into the wrestling business together, training at Ultimate Pro Wrestling's southern California school. They both started off in the company around the turn of the century (Cena as The Prototype), both held the group's Heavyweight Title, and both engaged in a feud that shaped their early careers.

More than 15 years later, Cena and Joe are among the most respected pros in the business - and while Cena is obviously better known to the public at large, Joe has finally reached WWE. In fact, he's the NXT Champion, doing some of his best work in years.

Just as Joe can't stay in NXT for too long, the company can't hold off on a Cena-Joe bout for long either. Cena's had some of his best matches against monster heels, and with the exception of Brock Lesnar, there's nobody in wrestling who's as believable a bad-a** as Joe. With some references to their history and carte blanche to do what they want in the ring, this could be an instant classic.
