10 Wrestling Careers Ruined By Awful Storylines

5. Perry Saturn

Much like his Radicalz stablemate Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn suffered greatly throughout his WWE run. He made a promising start on the midcard, regularly competing in the Hardcore division, linking-up with Terri Runnels as his manager, and capturing the European Championship. A constant onscreen presence throughout 2000, Saturn's career took an unfortunate downturn the following year, and it was all because of a hapless enhancement talent.

Mike Bell dropped Saturn on his head with a botched arm drag, and Perry went into a frenzy, legitimately beating the life out of the jobber. WWE’s chosen punishment killed Saturn’s career, and his character was turned into a babbling, childlike lunatic who became infatuated with an inanimate mop - the creatively named “Moppy" - in the place of Terri.

The gimmick was actually surprisingly popular with the fans for a while, but Moppy eventually met a grisly end when Terri and Raven fed her to a wood-chipper. Perry's credibility was shot to pieces, however, and he was demoted to Sunday Night Heat shortly after ditching the character outright. He remained rooted in WWE’s C-show for the rest of his run, before his eventual release in November 2002.
