10 Wrestling Careers Ruined By Awful Storylines

4. Diamond Dallas Page

He may have been one of the bigger WCW names to jump ship to WWE when Vince McMahon bought the company in 2001, but Diamond Dallas Page never stood a chance. Leaping into a feud with The Undertaker could, under different circumstances, have been the making of him. Instead, the angle ended any hope he had of making it as a major WWE player, and coincided with a huge downturn in his wrestling career.

DDP’s shock unveiling as ‘Taker’s wife’s stalker was a huge moment, but the angle turned Page into a weird, perverted sociopath. His obsession with Sara was borderline comical at times, and he was treated with little respect between the ropes also. DDP was inevitably destroyed by The Undertaker, and Sara herself even pinned Page in singles competition (albeit following a pre-bell beatdown from ‘The Deadman’).

Page eventually became European Champion, but he was out of the company by mid-2002. He didn’t return to wrestling until 2004, when he debuted with TNA, but that run lasted just six months, and he has barely competed since. It’s a good job Page has since found success outside the squared circle with DDP Yoga, because the latter part of his wrestling career stunk.
