10 Wrestling Careers Ruined By Awful Storylines

2. Kane

Dean Malenko Lita
WWE

While most of the wrestlers on our list saw their careers tanked by one single, disastrous storyline, Kane’s has been gradually eroded by some of the worst angles to ever escape a WWE creative meeting. He’ll likely go down as one of the company’s greatest monsters, but his career could have been so much more if it weren’t the mother lode of bad ideas.

Katie Vick was the worst of the worst, of course, but flirting with necrophilia is just the tip of the iceberg. Through his WWE run, ‘The Big Red Monster’ has danced with Santino Marella, croaked “suck it” with DX, performed a Spinaroonie, electrocuted Shane McMahon’s testicles, and been beaten-up by Ryback while working a concessions stand.

WWE botched his unmasking by conveniently forgetting about the burns he’d supposedly suffered as a child, and the less said about the Lita pregnancy angle, the better. Becoming Corporate Kane in 2013 was the final nail in the coffin, and while his career provided plenty of enjoyable moments throughout the nonsense, it has been impossible to take Kane seriously for well over a decade now.
