10 Wrestling Champions Who've Vacated The Most Titles

7. Bret Hart - 3

Speaking of screwy WCW complications, Bret Hart was forced to vacate the WCW Heavyweight Championship twice in the space of a month. After receiving multiple severe concussions during a match with Goldberg at Starrcade 1999 (he still won, in a mirror of the Montreal screw job poetically), he voluntarily vacated the belt shortly after and offered him a rematch the next night, which Hart won due to convoluted betrayals and baseball bats. However, the injuries from Starrcade persisted and he was forced to vacate the title for a second time when was unable to defend it in January 2000. He retired from wrestling later that year. That didn't stop him winning one last title in 2010 though, when he defeated the Miz for his US title owing to interference from the Hart family. He vacated the title the following week to assume the role of GM.
