10 Wrestling Champions Who've Vacated The Most Titles

8. Jeff Jarrett - 3

The country music heel, and current head of Global Force Wrestling is the first wrestler on this list who's had to vacate titles in two different companies. First, in the WWF he was enjoying a run with the Intercontinental title in 1995 when shenanigans occurred. During an episode of short-lived WWF show 'Action Zone' (similar to Main Event these days), he was wrestling Bob Holly, and pinned him using the ropes as leverage. The referee ordered the match to continue and Holly ended up pinning Jarrett, but JJ's feet were in the ropes that time too. The title was vacated, and the two men had a rematch later that night which Jarrett won. Which seems unnecessarily convoluted. Then for WCW, he was forced to vacate the United States Heavyweight title owing to a concussion during a match with Jimmy Snuka in 2000. He regained it shortly after but was stripped of it again when Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff 'rebooted' WCW. In a move designed to foster younger talent (The New Blood) rather than than the elderly main eventers (The Millionaire's Club), all titles were vacated and programming started with a clean slate.
