10 Wrestling Championship Reigns That Didn't Fit The Wrestler
1. Hulk Hogan As WWE Tag Team Champion
Whether it was sending Hulkamania to the stratosphere in the '80s and early '90s, or ruling WCW with an iron fist in the '90s with the nWo, the Hulkster always knew what to do to make himself money and how to look good doing it.
Having the drawing and creative power that he did, Hogan garnered an unsavoury reputation of being just a little bit selfish. Whether it was somehow walking out of WrestleMania IX with the WWF Championship, having to go over guys like Randy Orton, Stone Cold or Shawn Michaels or just keeping the glass ceiling low for up-and-coming talent, Hulk 'all for one and one for me' Hogan almost needed to be the star.
Coming out of WrestleMania X8 and leaving the nWo, he did expected Hogan things, winning the Undisputed Title and high-profile feuds, but in July 2002, Hogan did the unthinkable. He shared the spotlight.
On an episode of SmackDown!, Hogan captured the WWE Tag Titles with Edge, a full nineteen years since his last tag team accolade (a tournament win with Antonio Inoki). Despite his time in the nWo or the Mega Powers or his friendships with Brutus Beefcake, Mr. T and the Big Show, Hogan had never won a tag team championship prior to this two-and-a-half week reign.
