10 Wrestling Characters That Had The Plug Pulled On Them Immediately

2. Seven

Seven was a pretty creepy dude. He should have been locked up somewhere for peeping in little boys' windows. At least that’s how Turner’s Standards and Practices saw it. And so, together with the power of Vince Russo, they killed Goldust’s upcoming act before he ever had a single match.

Say what you will about Seven, but the man did have a pretty cool entrance by floating down to the ring. It could have been an all-time classic one had it continued on. Just think of what we were deprived of! And hey, the company probably could have used a creepy character at that time as well. WWE had Undertaker and Kane, so why couldn’t WCW have Seven? It all made so much sense to keep going with him!

However, Seven’s only appearance on Nitro was ripping his mask off, revealing that he was Dustin Rhodes, and then talking about what a stupid gimmick he was forced to perform. He also let us know how stupid he thought Goldust was...you know, the act that Rhodes was most loved and well-known for?

It would have been interesting to see where Seven was headed, but knowing Russo, it probably would have involved a crazy grandpa, a turkey and half-a-dozen more shoot promos.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
