10 Wrestling Characters That Had The Plug Pulled On Them Immediately

3. Phantasio

Pulling someone's underwear out of their pants is a crime. Perhaps that’s why after doing that to Tony DeVito and Earl Hebner, Phantasio went into hiding, never to be seen again. The statute of limitations on that has likely run out, so perhaps he can still show his painted face once again.

On Wrestling Challenge in the mid ‘90s we were introduced to a magician/wrestler by the name of Phantasio. He kind of looked like Sting, but debuted before his Crow look. So in a way, he was actually quite the trendsetter! Well, in his one and only televised match, he walked away with the win, but the crowd still didn’t seem overly impressed. What the hell more did they want than a wrestling magician? It’s the best of both worlds!

Well, perhaps Phantasio’s most impressive magic trick of all was that disappearance after his match in 1995. We are still awaiting his grand return someday on Raw.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
