10 Wrestling Characters Which Just Aren’t Working Right Now
2. Nia Jax
Current Character: Annoying Bully
Nia Jax may not be seen as a top level in-ring worker, capable of carrying any woman in the division to a five star classic. However, she clearly stands out from the rest of the division and definitely has the potential to be a marketable star for the company.
Unfortunately, since returning to WWE after this year's WrestleMania, Jax has reverted back to being a screeching heel. This has now forced fans to either turn the volume down or switch off entirely whenever she takes up a microphone to let her feelings be known.
Future Character: Intimidating Division Conqueror
Jax works best when she's obliterating whoever stands opposite her in the ring.
Admittedly, she has been known to be a little unsafe in-between the ropes from time to time, but WWE should take this real life heat the star receives for her work and turn it into star making fuel.
Keep her annoying promos to a minimum and make the casual fan feel as though Jax has the capacity to injure or seriously hurt anyone who stands in her way by announcing that stars are kayfabe hurt after battling her.
If you put the belt on her, you could have a Brock Lesnar level threat in the Women's Division to conquer by next year's WrestleMania.
Just a thought.
