10 Wrestling Dream Matches That Could Realistically Happen In 2022
7. Kevin Owens Vs. Eddie Kingston
An unconventional wrestler with a solid following, a dependable reputation on the independent circuit, an aura of being underappreciated and one of the best mic workers in their promotion. Is that a description of Kevin Owens or Eddie Kingston? That's a rhetorical question because the answer is both!
These two are fantastic wrestlers who would undoubtedly share in-ring chemistry, which would lead to a fantastic bout. We know this to be true, as they have crossed paths before in a ROH Championship match. Still, while that 2012 encounter was decent, it ended up disappointing, meaning they've got a lot to make up for, and AEW could be the place to do it.
As of right now, Kevin Owens' contract is running close to its end, and his future with WWE has not been confirmed. Sure, his recent heel turn implies that there's still something for him there, but it would be a shock to no one if he picked up his boots and said sayonara.
If that ends up happening, then an encounter with Kingston should be a priority for him.
