10 Wrestling Duos Who Shared The Most Bizarre Chemistry

1. The Miz & Asuka

A really inspired pairing, the enforced partnership between the Miz and Asuka added actual stakes to WWE's largely skippable and meaningless Mixed Match Challenge experiment.

The Miz, and his undue showboating, compromised Asuka's still very-much-alive undefeated winning streak. Asuka responded to it in a state of anxiety and anger. This acted as a platform for Asuka to get her expressive facials and comedic instincts over - in addition to the spree of glorious violence she unleashed when her albatross eventually got the f*ck out of her way. Fleshed out with an undertone of inexplicable camaraderie, this superb double act experimented beyond WWE's oft-boring, binary confines. A heel and a babyface combined to create physical storytelling magic without the need for dire, almost problematic verbiage.

Asuka's meme-d 'thumbs up' gesture was excellent visual deadpan. Without speaking, she conveyed the message hilariously: "It's about time you pissed off."

Leagues removed from the main roster in terms of importance, this, nonetheless, was WWE truly grasping the Asuka character in the context of sports entertainment.
