Another one that's sure to make many folks feel a touch old, 2002 saw Vince McMahon's wrestling empire go from being known as the World Wrestling Federation to World Wrestling Entertainment.

This all went down after the Fed lost a lawsuit to the World Wildlife Fund over the 'WWF' initials. Though WWE would later try and make the best of the unwanted outcome, with Linda McMahon noting, "Our new name puts the emphasis on the "E" for entertainment, what our company does best."

It's now been a whopping 22 years since the company "got the F out" in the wake of the 2002 Insurrextion PPV, with entire generations becoming hooked on all things WWE and never even existing in a time when icons like Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, The Rock, and Mankind battled it out on Federation TV in their prime.

And that also means that, as of 2025, the company will have actually gone by the name of World Wrestling Entertainment longer than they did the World Wrestling Federation, with the company going from WWWF to the WWF in 1979.

Mind=blown.
