Matt Jackson realised he had to stop trying to talk CM Punk into a wrestling return before he fell out with his friend. Jackson and Young Bucks brother Nick told Rolling Stone that they pestered Punk for months to make a comeback after he had left WWE in 2014. Punk wasn't for it, and planned to pursue a career in MMA instead.

Both Jacksons said during the interview that they'd love to see Punk back in a wrestling ring. Does this mean he'd be welcome in The Bullet Club? Perhaps, but not necessarily. The Young Bucks also said they'd love to wrestle against Punk, not just with him. He'd be a good fit for the Club though, nobody can deny that.

Matt's aggression was something he eventually had to temper before he irked Punk. After trying to get his friend back in the game, he decided it was best that Punk make his own decisions and carve his own immediate future. Before leaving the subject, Punk did tell Matt that the Bucks would be the first guys he'd call if he did want to get back into wrestling.
