When AJ Styles wasn't inheriting pre-written entrance themes, he was inspiring Daniel Bryan to get back in the ring.

A few months into Bryan's run as SmackDown GM in 2016, he was at ringside to witness several matches between Styles and Dean Ambrose first hand. That allowed him to feel the energy of the live crowd and how both sucked everyone watching into the action. To Daniel, that was exciting, and he told the Why Not Now show that he refused to accept never wrestling again.

It'd take Bryan almost two more years before WWE doctors cleared him to return, and yet he wouldn't give up on that dream. He admitted on the podcast that any time he thought about quitting, his mind would wander back to those matches.

Once it did, he became refocused on someday captivating fans like Ambrose and Styles had. Being so close to the ring and seeing his friends rock the house drove Bryan to never give up faith he'd do the same if WWE could be convinced of his improved health.
