Hold onto your hats, because there's a reason why Asuka has started using an Arm Bar as her main finishing move on Raw. The Wrestling Observer are reporting that the female star's move set tweak has everything to do with concurrent reports that UFC favourite Ronda Rousey is about to put pen to paper on a WWE deal.

This means there's a very-real possibility Asuka vs. Rousey could happen at some point next year. Better yet, it'd have an MMA feel, because WWE's plans are to push their own wrestler as something of a shooter in months leading up to the showdown. The Arm Bar is particularly poignant due to Ronda's string of victories using the hold in the Octagon.

To recap, this means we could see matches like AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Asuka vs. Ronda Rousey inside a WWE ring in 2018. That's pretty thrilling, not least because Rousey is a self-admitted WWE fan. She'd be willing to do business for the betterment of the story/match.
