Cesaro and Sheamus are one of WWE's best tag-teams of the past decade. There, we said it, and we stand by that statement even though their emergence as a team had everyone scratching their heads in confusion. It turns out fans weren't alone in being baffled though, because Cesaro himself couldn't fathom what was going on last year.

During an interview with Al Arabiya English, The Bar member revealed he wasn't even approached about teaming with Sheamus backstage. WWE's creative team didn't ask Cesaro for his input at all, and he actually found out about the new team when it was announced on television by then-Raw GM Mick Foley.

Cesaro didn't tell whether or not Sheamus knew more than he did, although he did suggest they hadn't been very friendly to one another beforehand. There was a healthy, competitive rivalry between both men, and that's why WWE put them together in a 'Best Of 7 Series' to begin with.

It's funny how things turn out.
