Only the most hardcore of fans will recall a short-lived romantic tease between Enzo Amore and Nia Jax on Raw. A month or so before Enzo was released, he started flirting with an increasingly less heelish Jax in backstage segments.

Until Amore's appearance on the Store Horseman podcast this week, we didn't have a clue what the story was supposed to achieve.

It turns out that Enzo was eventually supposed to be caught cheating on his new girlfriend with her best pal Alexa Bliss. Think about that for a second and weep: WWE's big plan for the Jax vs. Bliss story heading into WrestleMania 34 wasn't one of a strong woman overcoming bullies to succeed in life.

Nope, it was Nia getting all angsty with Alexa because she was running around with "Muscles Marinara" behind her back. Female revolution? What female revolution? That story arc would have instantly rekindled thoughts of the old Diva days, and not in a good way.
