6. Interacting With New Day Brought Sheamus Out Of His Shell

Think back to Sheamus' run as a babyface in 2012 for a second. Though he was clearly trying his best, the "Celtic Warrior" never looked comfortable delivering hammy dialogue or trying to be funny in front of fans during in-ring promos. It'd take years before he was more relaxed, and he thanks The New Day for putting him at ease.

During a chat with the Telegraph Herald, Sheamus admitted that interacting with Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston made him realise that he didn't always need to be so uptight out there.

After starring in several segments with the fun-loving group, Sheamus said he and Cesaro started to enjoy the nonsense, and they even helped the Irishman come out of the shell he'd been hiding in for years; it's not hard to see why he felt more at ease playing the tough guy. That was his gimmick, after all.

It turns out that Braveheart-inspired promo in Glasgow, Scotland a few years ago did so much for Sheamus as a character, and it helped him focus on showing his natural personality rather than forcing anything
