Older wrestling fans may remember that WCW presented Big Show as André The Giant's son during his first few months in the company. Dubbed "The Giant", he wore the same one-strapped singlet as his kayfabe daddy and feuded with Hulk Hogan solely because of Hulk's history with André.

This is something Show is still embarrassed about today, and he cringes when fans come up to him with memories of his "father".

Yes, that still happens in 2018. On Steve Austin's podcast, Show admitted that people occasionally approach him to share stories about how much André meant to them as children. That must make the veteran very awkward. Imagine having to explain to those well-meaning folks that his real dad didn't come from the French Alps. Did they not watch him ride his casket in 1999?

The whole thing was Hogan's idea. He was the one who could see dollar signs in rekindling one of his most famous feuds, and it was something Show went along with because he was so new to the biz. It still haunts him to this day.
