WWE deserve a lot of credit for sticking by Paige when it might have been easier to distance themselves from her intense personal problems (the Alberto del Rio drama alone would have justified it). Now, after a brief in-ring comeback that also ended in disaster, Paige has a solid gig as SmackDown GM.

On E&C's Pod Of Awesomeness, Paige revealed how she believed she'd never walk again when laying on the mat following a house show tag match on 27 December.

An errant kick from Sasha Banks re-injured her neck and forced Paige to retire from active wrestling. That wasn't her chief concern on the night however. No, the Brit worried that she'd be wheelchair-bound, and described the experience as the most terrifying of her entire life to date.

She lost all feeling in her arms and legs, and immediately started to ponder what life would be like without the use of her lower limbs. Terrifying.
