WWE would probably like everyone to believe that they plan storylines six months in advance, know exactly where everyone on the roster is headed and are super-organised. In reality, things are a bit different. That's why Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano have been forced to change their match at NXT TakeOver: Chicago II.

According to comments made in the Wrestling Observer, Ciampa and Gargano were supposed to have a Last Man Standing Match on 16 June at TakeOver. Of course, AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura will now work the same stipulation at Money In The Bank a mere 24 hours later.

That meant NXT's writers had to fold and come up with something else.

Ciampa vs. Gargano II will now be billed as a "Chicago Street Fight". Though this isn't a disaster, the Last Man Standing gimmick did suit their blood feud better than AJ vs. Nakamura. Oh well, at least they have another gimmick to fall back on.
