On the latest episode of Eric Bischoff's "83 Weeks" podcast, the ex-WCW boss was grilled by co-host Conrad Thompson on the sorry events of Bash At The Beach 2000. On that pay-per-view, a worked shoot angle involving Hulk Hogan, Jeff Jarrett and Vince Russo was hatched, and it ended up being a disaster.

Bisch has always maintained that he and Hulk didn't know Russo would launch a verbal tirade against Hogan later in the show, and he again said on the podcast that both had already left the building by the time it happened.

That one promo from Russo (during which he kayfabe fired Hulk for "playing his creative control card" and called him a "big, bald son of a b*tch") caused Hogan to pursue legal action.

The unknown fact here is that Hogan later told Bischoff in person, "I love getting fired." That's because he managed to reach a lucrative settlement with WCW over the way things had been handled at the event, and it worked out best for him in the long run.

Again, wrestling is weird.
