History readily recalls that Scott Hall interrupted a jobber match (Steve Doll vs. The Mauler) to make his shocking (re)debut appearance on WCW Nitro's 27 May 1996 episode. However, people often gloss over what Hall was wearing for his first showing post-Razor Ramon. Who cares, right?

Eric Bischoff. Eric Bischoff cares.

On his podcast, Bisch pointed out how infuriating it was that WCW didn't fight the WWF's claim that Hall played the Razor character on Nitro. To Eric, Scott's all-denim vest and jeans combo was more like his old Diamond Studd gimmick in WCW during his first run there in the early-'90s. That's something Eric thinks should've been brought up in court.

WCW didn't bother, because they didn't have the legal might to take on the WWF's Jerry McDevitt. Had they tried, WCW could've pointed out that Ramon's character didn't wear denim, and that the Studd sometimes had years earlier.
