Anyone who has read Daniel Bryan's autobiography knows that the man enjoys being honest, and doesn't have a problem lifting the lid on his own insecurities. Throughout an interview with the Kingston Whig-Standard recently, Bryan revealed a few stunning facts related to his in-ring retirement, including the fact his misery caused him to have a mental breakdown.

Before he was forced to step away from the job he loved more than anything, Bryan had his eye on one huge match. Namely, the bearded grappler wanted to face off against the monstrous Brock Lesnar, and knew he'd therefore have to take numerous German Suplex bumps.

Management were appalled by the notion, even more so when Bryan had Luke Harper deliver the move to him as a tester. Bryan wanted to step into the ring with Brock badly, but also wanted to ensure that he'd be able to take a German Suplex once he did.

Unfortunately for Daniel and the fans, the match was never destined to take place and Bryan retired before getting his wish. There are those behind the scenes in WWE who must consider that a positive rather than a negative.
