It's fairly well-known that Becky Lynch was trained to wrestle by Finn Balor, making it pretty cool that both are currently featured on WWE programming today. Opening a wrestling school in his home town of Bray in Ireland, Balor ran the classes out of a modest school hall. That surprised Lynch.

Having tuned into the Tough Enough program WWE aired, Becky believed Finn's school would be similar to the giant warehouse used on the show. Of course, it wasn't, and the people Lynch ended up training with didn't look like the athletes picked out for Tough Enough's reality concept either.

This story was told during Becky's interview with Sports Illustrated's Extra Mustard to promote SummerSlam. Seeing the crew of weedy aspiring wrestlers, Lynch couldn't believe that all of wrestling wasn't like what she could see on TV.

Naturally, Balor's training was excellent, and Becky had a great time learning alongside her brother. It was months before she was allowed to enter an actual ring, training bumps and other fundamentals on simple blue gym mats first.

The whole thing was an eye-opening experience for the future WWE star, but a valuable one.
