Sticking with Baron 'Nobody Appreciates Me' Corbin for a second, here's another fact about his 2019.

In an interview with Collider Live, Kurt Angle opened up about a conversation he had with Vince McMahon before working with Corbin at WrestleMania 35. The convo shows how much Vince values continuity over sentimentality, and it also proves that he didn't really think much of this being Angle's final match for WWE.

Once it became clear that he was hanging up the star-spangled boots, Kurt went to Vince and asked to wrestle John Cena in New Jersey. The boss was having none of that. He rubbished Angle's attempt to pivot on the ongoing story and reminded him that he had unfinished business with one Baron Corbin.

Rather definitively, McMahon told Kurt the following. "You have a program that you’ve been doing for a year, and I’m not throwing it away. It’s with Baron Corbin, so whether you want to retire now or later, you’re going to wrestle Baron at WrestleMania."

That was that.
