10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week

1. Scott Hall Was Supposed To Retire Randy Savage

Right before the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View in 1992, The Ultimate Warrior had an almighty falling out with Vince McMahon. As the story goes, Warrior wanted to hold his boss up for more money, in order to appear as scheduled for a colossal tag-team match on the show. Teaming with Randy Savage, Warrior would have faced the team of Ric Flair and Razor Ramon. For his part, Ramon was a relative newcomer to the then-WWF. Looking to put his latest pet project over strong, McMahon was also simultaneously looking to phase Randy Savage away from full-time active in-ring wrestling. For that very reason, the original booking plan called for Razor to break Randy's leg during the match, something which would lead to 'Macho Man' being forced into retirement. Due to the ongoing strife between Warrior and McMahon, those plans changed. Curt 'Mr. Perfect' Hennig was brought back from his own sabbatical, and inserted into the match as Savage's partner instead. Management changed their minds over the leg break angle, which would have bee a huge bragging right for Scott Hall's Razor Ramon character. What other big wrestling facts did you learn this week?
