Signing a contract with the promotion in 2008, Nick Aldis was well-liked by TNA right off the bat. At first, the man played the role of 'Brutus Magnus', mainly picking up mid-card wins over the likes of Matt Morgan, Eric Young and Chris Sabin. From there, he moved into the 'British Invasion' tag-team alongside Doug Williams. That's where things really started picking up for the man. Eventually, the re-dubbed Magnus would win the TNA World Heavyweight Title. Perhaps surprisingly, he decided to leave the promotion in the Summer of 2015. After almost 7 years in TNA, the Englishman fancied doing something a little different. To his credit, Magnus has elected not to criticise his former employer too much in interviews since leaving. However, he did share this week that he entered TNA rapidly and without much organisation. Receiving an email from Dixie Carter, the man was still partaking in the UK Gladiators TV show when discussions took place. Flown over to meet with TNA officials, Nick Aldis didn't have the first clue what the company planned to do with him. There had been no prior conversation about a contract, and Magnus was hired without much warning. He certainly wasn't aware of what character he was due to play.
