10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week

6. Dusty Rhodes Always Admired Bayley

As aforementioned in the introduction to this article, the 'American Dream' Dusty Rhodes worked with many young people in WWE. Right up until his passing in June, the charismatic former wrestler was heavily involved in what was happening both at the WWE Performance Center and in NXT. Just like any coach, Dusty had his favourites. One of the wrestlers Rhodes saw the most potential in was Bayley. Currently, she's the reigning NXT Women's Champion, but back in 2013 she was just another young woman trying to make a name for herself. The prospective Diva's hard work ethic appealed to Dusty Rhodes. That fact has become clear through scouting notes from that year that have recently been released this week through social media. Keeping tabs on the progression that the young men and women under his care were making, Dusty paid special attention to Bayley. Interestingly, the former NWA Heavyweight Champion noted that Bayley could be a huge part of a revamped WWE Diva division. Incredibly, it looks like that prediction could be about to come true. It's generally considered only a matter of time before Bayley is called up to the main roster.
