10. 26 Wrestlers Didn't Know Of John Cena's Rumble Return In 2008
A former WWF/WWE referee, Jimmy Korderas now works as an analyst of the company and occasionally writes blog entries about his time in the industry. Over at CSRWrestling, Korderas is usually upbeat about his time in WWE, looking back on his years with the promotion fondly. His blog posts are also an excellent place to glean different facts that weren't necessarily common knowledge. Working as a referee for the 2008 Royal Rumble match, Korderas was taken into a room with other officials to discuss what would happen during the bout. The #30 entrant would end up being John Cena, returning early from injury. This wasn't something that many people were aware of, a list which remarkably includes many of the other Rumble participants. When it became time to talk about the closing stretch of the match, 26 wrestlers were asked to vacate the room. This shows the lengths WWE will go to in order to keep some surprises under wraps, but it worked out for the best on the night. Cena's comeback blew the roof off of Madison Square Garden.
