In an interview with Wrestling Inc, Diamond Dallas Page opened up about a conversation he shared with a young Cody Rhodes in 2000. Page had just become a three-time World Champion in WCW, and Cody was eager to make the same kind of mark. Looking to give the boy some advice, DDP told him to slow down.

That's not all, he added the nickname 'Young Buck' on at the end.

Back then, Page obviously couldn't have known that Rhodes would go on to make history with a tag-team called The Young Bucks around 18 years later. The immense pride he must have been feeling as he posed for pictures with Cody backstage at All In shows on his face. Cody had done exactly what Page suggested, and he'd continued "reaching for the stars".

It's weird that life turns out this way sometimes. Page's throwaway nickname for his mentor's son was designed to lift his spirits, but the words 'Young Buck' have become such a huge part of Cody's life and career.

Spooky.
