Growing up in Newcastle, Neville watched WWF programming in awe. Just like any other kid of that generation, the English boy was transfixed by the larger-than-life nature of these 'WWF Superstars', and marveled at what he was watching.

Even though he was a fan of the likes of Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior, Neville found himself gravitating to a different kind of performer. Smaller, more athletic and agile characters such as Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty spoke to Neville through their actions. Flying around the ring with reckless abandon, The Rockers quickly became his favourite tag-team in all of wrestling.

Obviously, as he grew older, Neville started to watch other promotions. The likes of The Dynamite Kid's work in Japan greatly influenced his later ring style, but it was The Rockers who stole his heart initially. To this day, Neville still watches back to matches the teen heart throb duo had, citing them as a reminder of what he wants to achieve between the ropes.
