8. Daniel Bryan's Long Term Plan

Tears will be shed when Daniel Bryan retires from the ring for a second time, not least because he still has so much more to give. One of the finest wrestling brains of his generation, Bryan could easily fit snugly into the role of road agent or creative advisor. Instead, he has something else in mind.

Dan can't wait to be a stay-at-home dad.

During his appearance on The Bellas Podcast (which, as the name suggests, is co-run by his wife Brie and her sister Nikki), Bryan admitted he plans to retire within the "next few years" and become a more hands-on parent. Not only that, but Daniel is looking forward to staying at home when Brie is away working.

This sort of spin on traditional parental roles sums Bryan up; he's always been someone who looks to buck the trend, and he doesn't view himself as some sort of testosterone-fuelled solo breadwinner for the family. Daniel just wants to spend some time with his kid, and there's something sweet about that even if time is running out on his wrestling career.
