10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (6 March)

1. Dolph Ziggler Is A Stand-Up Comedian

Watch WWE television, and one of the last men you'd pick out as stand-up comedian material would be Dolph Ziggler - the guy is a wrestler through and through, but that doesn't mean the bleach-blonde athlete can't have other interests. Remarking during a recent interview that comedy has always been a strong interest of his, Ziggler also thanked WWE for their understanding over his need to do other things away from wrestling. In the same interview, Dolph was quick to point out that this didn't mean he wasn't still 100% a professional wrestler, but nobody can argue with people having a variety of interests. Still, it's unlikely many fans had the guy down as a comedian! It'd be nice if WWE let Ziggler parlay some of his natural wit and sense of humour into his on-screen persona. Maybe not full-blown comedy, such as Santino Marella, but letting the guy be more human with his promos would be a great start. Ziggler's fledgling comedy career isn't big news at the moment, but according to the man himself, he's making some pretty powerful friends in the industry, so fans could be hearing more about this very soon.
