2. NXT Fans Rebel Against WWE
Speaking of great attendances, WWE are trumpeting the success of the first ever NXT show to take place outside of Florida. Attracting between 850-1,000 fans, the venue in Columbus, Ohio is said to have been packed, with there being room only for standing. The main event was a well-received effort between Cesaro and Adrian Neville, but the show is also gaining some attention for fan response during a 'WWE Showcase' bout between The Big Show and Ryback. Booing both men, the crowd didn't really seem interested in the match, which is a real eye-opener for WWE higher-ups, who felt the likes of Show and Ryback would add some much-needed star power to proceedings. The Big Show tweeted afterwards that he had a blast, but it's fair to say the audience didn't respond in kind to his efforts. NXT has been a rip-roaring success for WWE, but is it also in danger of creating a real divide between fans? Have WWE now fostered an environment where wrestling fans repel the main product, instead feeling the developmental league is the way to go?
