10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (6 March)

10. Summerslam Moves Location

For the past six events, WWE has presented the annual Summerslam Pay-Per-View from the same location, the Staples Center in Los Angeles. From 2009-2014, LA hosted one of the promotion's biggest shows, but things were starting to seem more than a little tedious by the time last year's show rolled around. It's been said that variety is the spice of life, and for that reason, WWE have decided to give their historic Summer show a change of scenery. On August 23, 2015, Summerslam will take place from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, marking the first time the event has taken place in New York since 2002. On that night, Brock Lesnar left as WWE Champion, and it remains to be seen whether or not The Beast will be in the house come August, due to his ongoing negotiation troubles with the company. Nonetheless, it's definitely a good thing that this news broke over the past week, showing WWE realise how stale the show was becoming, taking place in the same venue time and time again.
